Tom Shannon – Park City 2024

I woke up around 9:15am-ish, wondering if I could possibly get my shit together in time to leave by 9:30am to make the open improv play at 10am in SLC.  It was not going to happen.  I had regular rehearsal with my own team at 2pm, so I would get to do some improv either way.  As much as I enjoy improvising, it has been extremely hard to get out of bed in time on Saturdays to make the open play.

After feeding the dog and cat and walking the dog, I had a little coffee and did some reading.

By 1:30pm Nate showed up and we headed down to the library where we were rehearsing.  We arrived a bit late because we decided NOT to trust Google Maps and try a different route.  Lesson learned.

We headed back up the mountain after practice.  I read for a bit and then we went out to dinner.  Nicole and I sat at the bar while the kiddo and her friend sat at table.

After heading back home after dinner, we hung out for a bit before I drove back down to SLC to see the weekly 10pm improv show at The Sanctuary, a former taxidermy studio that was formerly a church, which is now a theater.  I ran tech for the show, doing lights and sound.  The show ended around 1145pm, after which I headed home, which is a 40 minute drive.
